Travel

We love to travel, and we truly thank all of you that are planning to travel in from near and far to be part of our adventure. On this page you’ll find directions to the venue, things to do, and local restaurant suggestions. Please remember to bring a valid government issued ID for the military checkpoint at the Thayer Gate.

Directions

The ceremony will take place at Sacred Heart Church. Cocktail hour and reception to follow at The Thayer Hotel.

  • John F. Kennedy International Airport, Laguardia International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport are all fantastic options. From the airport, the venue can be reached by car, bus, or train.

    For those who wish to fly in closer to the venue we recommend New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh or Westchester County Airport in Harrison. (Please note these are smaller airports.)

  • Take the Metro North from Grand Central Terminal. Board the Hudson Line train to Poughkeepsie. Disembark at Peekskill or Garrison. Then Uber to The Thayer Hotel.

  • Take the ShortLine Hudson from Port Authority Bus Terminal towards West Point/Newburgh. Disembark at West Point Thayer Gate.

  • The Thayer Hotel is conveniently located off the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
